Since most of us are staying indoors because of the pandemic, I thought of doing something creative and decided to share it with everyone -- shooting with Rainbow Lights. Now here are the few things you need to know in order to achieve this photo.
Preparation
First things first, you need to prepare the materials needed for the shoot. You will only be needing two things: a flashlight and a CD. Afterwards, you can now find a perfect spot in your home for the shoot. To block light coming from our window I covered it with black cloth, since I prefer a dark area for this shoot.
Setting up the Materials
Once your done, you can start setting up the materials for the shoot. If you do not have an assistant for this shoot, make use of the available resources at home to hold the flashlight and the CD in its place. This is how it should look like:
Trying it out using a camera
You can try it out using a phone or a camera. Now if using a camera, you will have to adjust the settings. For the ISO, I set it to 2000. However, you can change it depending on how you want the photo to look like; The shutter speed is 50; The aperture is 1.8. Lastly, make sure that it's always in a "RAW" format and not JPEG.
(I used Sony A6000 and 50-mm lens for this shoot)After adjusting the settings and setting up the camera and tripod. You're all set for the shoot!
