Yesterday, my donor’s evaluation officially began with a DTPA kidney scan to assess both kidneys.
And thankfully, the results are encouraging. The report shows good kidney function, good drainage, and no obstruction, with a total measured GFR of 104.3 mL/min.
For the first time in a long while, this transplant is starting to feel less like a distant hope and more like something that could actually happen.
Now I’m waiting for the next round of tests and hoping everything continues to move in the right direction.
After six years on dialysis, I’m ready for this next chapter.
