Crunchy and flavorful crackers made with sourdough discard, perfect for snacking or serving with cheese and dips.

ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, or oregano)

  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, flaky sea salt

instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sourdough discard, olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and dried herbs. Mix until well combined.

  3. Roll out the dough between two sheets of parchment paper until it's about 1/8 inch thick.

  4. Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut the dough into squares or rectangles.

  5. Transfer the crackers to the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle with optional toppings, if desired.

  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  7. Allow the crackers to cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.
