Hey, I’m Hayat—the founder and editor-in-chief of Read Science, a journal that strives to make science accessible for everyone. I look serious, but I'm nice and love silly jokes.
Writing, learning, and exploring new ideas—that’s my thing. I’m a former teacher with a very colorful work history: project manager, jewelry maker, translator, proofreader, tutor, babysitter, bookkeeper—you name it. Wasn’t exactly by choice, but… well, rent doesn’t pay itself.
My multilayered identity, shaped by the different cultures I belong to, fuels my passion for understanding psychology, the brain, and society. When I’m not writing or studying, you’ll find me playing with my naughty little son :)
