Good day, everyone.
It's the 8th of the month. In just one month, I will turn 28. As I quietly count the days, I find myself reflecting not on how many years have passed, but on how much good a single life can still do.
Ever since I entered the fire service, I have carried one lesson close to my heart: life finds its greatest meaning when it is lived in service of others. This year, instead of simply celebrating another birthday, I want to celebrate by sharing a meal with our brothers and sisters experiencing homelessness along the major streets of Davao City.
By God's grace, I have already saved enough to make this simple mission possible. Yet I have also come to believe that kindness, much like a flame, shines brighter when shared. That is why I am inviting our friends and fellow Ka-Haribon to walk alongside me in this endeavor. Whatever you can give, whether big or small, will become part of a meal, a smile, and a reminder that someone still cares.
Every contribution will be treated with complete transparency and documented with honesty, because every act of generosity deserves to be honored.
As my 28th year begins, I have only one wish: that this birthday becomes less about adding another candle to a cake and more about becoming a small light in someone else's darkest day.
Daghang salamat, mga Ka-Haribon. May our Almighty God bless every generous heart and allow this humble mission to reach those who need it most. If, through this simple act, one person goes to sleep with a full stomach and renewed hope, then I can already say that this birthday has become one of the most meaningful celebrations of my life.
