What is damaging your hair ?
You now know your hair type. Now let us find out what is damaging your hair?
Warning! This article is strictly for natural hair only. Not for permanently straightened hair or chemically treated hair.
TDS of water
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) represents the total concentration of all the dissolved substances in water. TDS in water comprises inorganic salts and a small amount of organic matter.
The most important thing to note here is that the impurities, like dust, dirt, mud, and rust, do not constitute Total Dissolved Solids. This is because these impurities remain suspended (or settle at the bottom) in water and do not dissolve.
If TDS of the water you are washing your hair with is not right, nothing can help your hair.
If TDS value is greater than 250 (TDS>250), it results in lot of hair-fall, frizz, bald patches whatever your hair type is.
For type (1,2,3) A and B hair wash: Use Water with TDS 80-150.
For type (1,2,3)C and 4 hair wash: Water TDS of 150-250 is okay too.

pH of water
pH is basically a measure to determine how acidic or alkaline(basic) something is: on a scale of 0 to 14 where 0 is the most acidic and 14 the most alkaline. Keep in mind that pH is a logarithmic scale. This means that there is a 10x difference if the difference in pH levels of two elements is 1. If the pH level difference is 2, there is a 20x difference….
pH of water you are washing your hair with is important.
Hair pH is 5.5. Body pH must be 6.75 for good hair. Washing water pH must 7.9.
High pH causes hair breakage. Low pH induces hair loss.
(Get your Urine routine test, urine pH must be 6.75 min).
