Buy Guildford Meetup Fees Fundraiser! a fee contribution

Running a Meetup group costs £80 every six months. In the case of Tom's groups, we have always kept these Meetup groups free.

This is quite unusual within Meetup groups, and has occasionally involved personal financial cost. If you appreciate these groups existing, then we encourage donations to support paying the fees.

This is an optional contribution, not a fee for belonging to the group. We won't be tracking who does or doesn't contribute, nor will it affect the opportunities anyone has.

If you appreciate Guildford Friendly Meetup and/or Guildford 20-45s Adventures, please consider donating £1 or more towards covering these running costs (think of it like buying a coffee!).

If we are over the target, then any excess will go towards covering next year's costs and covering any price hikes. This page will pay for the two groups that both share this subscription.

In the past, Tom has collected this via WhatsApp groups. With so many different groups and no set 'official' one for GFM, this is no longer practical. He also failed to get the £5 million that he demanded in fees. It is hoped that this new method will provide greater simplicity and fiscal transparency.
