Released x3dctl v1.4.1 — a lightweight UNIX-style utility for deterministic workload policy on AMD X3D systems under Linux.
x3dctl gives users explicit, scriptable control over workload placement and behavior instead of relying entirely on default scheduler decisions or vendor tooling.
It’s aimed at real mixed workloads on heterogeneous X3D systems, such as:
gaming + compiling, gaming + recording, background tasks during interactive use, and per-process policy control.
v1.4.1 is a small but important polish release focused on:
packaging consistency, AUR improvements, clearer install behavior, documentation cleanup, set up for further scheduler compatibility, and a user-favorite optional password-less mode that reduces permission friction for advanced users without compromising the project’s default security model.
The project is intentionally small, native, and CLI-first.
If you’re running Linux on an X3D system, I’d love to hear how it behaves on your setup.
