Three friends on a journey to the Mansion on the Hill.
Fifi sat at the foot of the Hill and said "I can never climb this hill. I will sit here and feed on whatever falls from the hill"
Avivi and Winini continued on the journey.
It was tiring, stressful but their eyes were fixed on the Mansion.
After a long while, several injuries, pain and dehydration. They saw a single tree filled with fruits on the hill.
The two friends took a break. They fed on the fruits and rested a while under the shade of its leaves.
"Avivi, it's time, let's continue our journey"
"Winini, I am done. You can continue. I am okay here with the comfort this tree gives me and its sumptuous fruits."
Winini tried several to persuade his friend but He did not budge.
Winini kept on going.
After a time and a season. Winini reached the goal and was welcomed into the mansion. He was put in charge of all the business of the mansion and he had more than enough.
Whenever he was asked by new arrivals to the mansion, how he kept going despite the challenges of the journey, He would reply;
"I never took my eyes off the mansion. I chose to see the journey for what it was, a process, a passage, a series of passing events, and a temporal life. When Fifi saw an insurmountable hill, I saw a beautiful mansion. When Avivi saw the comfort of the tree and its fruits, I saw my prepared place in the mansion. I chose what to see and focus on. I put in the work to get to my prepared place."
