From our observations yesterday with Ringo, we discovered that he freezes up on walks every few driveways, and sometimes he won’t even leave the front porch. Yet if he’s allowed off-leash many of those behaviors disappear.
“It seems to be a power issue between us, competing for dominance.”
This was his guardian’s initial interpretation - and why the difference between observation, interpretation and intuition is so fascinating.
We can observe something very clearly … and then create a story around what we think it might mean.
Sometimes our interpretation is completely accurate.
Sometimes it isn’t.
Yet often, if we pause long enough to listen and observe, something else comes through entirely.
That magic pause can shift the kaleidoscope of events within our understanding, and our connection with our animal companions.
