Israel has increasingly been reestablishing a military footprint in northern Gaza, where today they claimed to have killed a high ranking member of Hamas. Israel also conducted yet another hospital raid in northern Gaza having ordered staff and patients to evacuate al-Awda hospital. The hospital's director said he, some staff, and patients in critical condition remained at the hospital despite the Israeli raid.
The International Court of Justice is expected to rule tomorrow on the legality of Israel's ongoing Rafah operation, a case brought forward by South Africa. Israel has maintained that their offensive is localized and limited, a claim that they have undermined over the past couple of days by moving deeper into the center of Rafah.
Meanwhile, Israel's war time cabinet has agreed to kickstart talks regarding the possible release of the hostages held by Hamas and other groups once again. This came a few days after Netanyahu reportedly had expressed a willingness to give up on freeing the hostages if necessary.
