The United States intercepted two missiles launched by the Houthis. Meanwhile, the United States launched a strike, destroying a single drone. By far the biggest Houthi news of the day was a major announcement they made; Russian and Chinese vessels are to not be targeted. Seeing as the Houthis have hit a Russian ship before, this was an important distinction for them to make. Many vessels have proclaimed themselves to be connected to Russia, China, and Iran in the past in an effort to discourage the Houthis from attacking them. With this now being an explicit policy from the Houthis, time will tell if this is a genuinely useful deterrent, since the Houthis will be a bit more selective with their targets.
Israel claims to have killed several Islamic Jihad (PIJ) leaders around al-Shifa hospital, as part of their explanation for the recent raid. Hamas commander were allegedly killed as well. Overall, Israel claims to have captured or killed well over six hundred operatives belonging to Hamas, PIJ, and other militias. Israel has also notably concentrated on PIJ leadership more than typical of late in the West Bank and Lebanon. It suggests that Hamas' power might be waning to the point where Israel now proportionately views PIJ as a more significant threat than before.
