The Houthis yesterday successfully struck two merchant vessels, but both continued sailing under their own power. The Houthis over the course of the day launched numerous missiles and drones, unusual behavior for them. Nor.slly, they are conducted within the span of a few hours in any given day when they conduct launches, I stead of being spread out over the full day. The United States intercepted many of these launches. Given the recent successful strikes on two vessels and the overall increase in activity today, I expect to see significant American, and possibly British strikes on the Houthis some time over the next few days.
Gantz has officially come full circle after threatening to quit the government, then not doing so yesterday. Today, he proceeded to do so. This leaves the far right with more influence over Netanyahu's now smaller but still workable majority. It will ramp up international and domestic pressure to call early elections, as Netanyahu's emergency national unity government isn't really a thing at this point now. But with Netanyahu still holding a decent majority in the Knesset, he won't be forced to do so.
