The United States and the Houthis continue to launch strikes at one another. Of note, the United Kingdom once again joined the United States with attacking Houthi positions.
Dozens of Iranian backed fighters were killed in the heavy strikes across Iraq and Syria that the United States and Jordan launched yesterday. This is despite the extensive amount of time given to Iran to pull their forces and their allies out. It's not clear to me why casualty counts were so high, given the extremely telegraphed move. It was successfully telegraphed so much that days prior, groups such as Kata'ib Hezbollah publicly swore off attacks against the United States for the time being in an effort to avert the American (and Jordanian) strikes. Several militias after the strikes announced their intentions to attack American bases in the region again, pushing against Kata'ib Hezbollah.
The United States has said additional strikes are possible, including on the same targets depending on the success of the original strikes. Damage assessments are reportedly still ongoing.
Israel has declared itself to be operationally ready to launch a full ground assault against Hezbollah should Israel be provided by Hezbollah. In contrast, Hamas is increasingly popping back up in northern Gaza, particularly around hospitals and in Gaza City, where Hamas is acting partially as a police force. This is in response to Israel pulling out a significant amount of their troops, which has made it difficult for Israel to keep Hamas out of areas that were previously cleared.
