The Red Sea saw combat for the first time ever n over a week according to the U.S. Central Command. Per CENTCOM, an unspecified coalition ships intercepted a Houthi missile, while American forces intercepted four aerial drones. The United States did not claim any fresh strikes against the Houthis, nor were any reported.

Israel states that it has acquired forty thousand tents to set up to accommodate refugees from the upcoming Rafah offensive. This alone is a woefully inadequate supply, as there are well over a million people believed to currently be residing in Rafah. However, Israel put out a sign suggesting that they may not plan to stick around in Rafah indefinitely. Reportedly, Israel has been talking with its neighbors about seeing a force backed by the Palestinian Authority (which is led by Fatah, which is a rival of Hamas) take over to help run security operations along the southern part of the Gaza Strip. This could potentially mean leaving part of the Gaza border with Egypt under Palestinian control, albeit under Fatah (or their allies) rather than Hamas. Meanwhile, Israel has pulled two brigades from northern Israel to deploy towards Gaza, which suggests that the recent tensions with Hezbollah have been, at least from the Israeli side, merely an attempt to deter major military actions by Hezbollah.
