Five rockets were launched from Zummar, Iraq towards Syria. Zummar is located roughly halfway between the city of Mosul and the Syrian border. The target was an American base in northeastern Syria. No damage was reported, and the rockets likely missed their mark or were intercepted by troops at the base. It's also possible that the Syrian Democratic Forces intercepted them on the way to the American base, as the United States recently announced its intentions to help the SDF establish an Air Defense Force. Relevant to the attack, Kataib Hezbollah declared a resumption of attacks against American bases in the region. Kataib Hezbollah is the most prominent of the Iraqi militias forming the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.
Israel has unsurprisingly responded negatively to the news that the United States plans to sanction an IDF unit which has faced accusations of committing war crimes in the West Bank, but the United States has not outwardly indicated that they plan to change course.
