Hello there, this is my first post here! In which I want to tell you about one of my favorite locations for photography near my home town, Sofia.
Around Sofia, there are a couple of lakes, but today I will talk about Iskara lake. Iskara is the second biggest lake in Bulgaria, 30 minutes ride from downtown Sofia will take you to this peaceful place, where you can chill, hike, swim, camp, go fishing, or take a ride by boat or yacht. Yes, there are yachts, and that makes the place more attractive, many young people go there for their bachelorette parties or bachelor parties, and various private events. The camp on the beach is very cozy and in the evening people make a barbecue, watch the Milkyway, etc. This place is a very good spot for astrophotography because there is not so much light pollution. After all, it's not near to a big city. The connection between nature and water is very good, you can shoot priceless sunset or sunrise long exposures and after or before the long exposure you can take a walk and feel the power of the woods and of course you may take a couple of photos in the forest too. In this post, I will show you 3 photos from one of my recent hikes there. They show different moods, one quite minimalistic in my opinion, one very intimate between the subjects in it (its not 18+), and the last photo I may say that somehow it reminds me of Asia, but its taken in Bulgaria.
