We are honored to introduce the inaugural edition of Gaza Verse, a powerful new periodical publication that stands as a fortress of literary and artistic resistance. This first volume, titled "Art Beyond Borders," is more than a collection of works; it is a vivid, enduring testament to the power of creative solidarity, uniting voices that refuse to be silenced by walls, blockades, or distance.
Gaza Verse is proudly presented as the entirely volunteer-driven collaborative platform of two vital collectives:
The Gaza Poets Society: This collective has historically served as a cultural life force, tirelessly working to connect poets and creatives from Gaza with the wider global community. They have nurtured an unbroken tradition of eloquence and resilience against incredible odds, ensuring that Gaza’s rich literary and artistic heritage is not only preserved but actively shared and celebrated worldwide.
Gaza's Creative Allies Collective: This international collective brings together a diverse assembly of artists, writers, and media professionals from every corner of the globe who are committed to active solidarity with Gaza. They lend their skills, their time, and their platforms to ensure that Palestinian narratives—and the critical perspectives of those who stand with them—are voiced clearly, amplified, and protected from distortion or erasure.
Published jointly by these two committed collectives, Gaza Verse is conceived as an essential, dedicated home for creatives from all over the world who write and create in solidarity with Gaza. It is a crucial archive of survival, selfhood, and global artistic defiance. Every word and image within this journal is a contribution of passion, not payment. In this "Art Beyond Borders" issue, we present a diverse and moving collection of poetry, prose, and visual art, with every contributor taking a stand for humanity and justice. We sincerely hope this edition will serve as a profound inspiration, encouraging all creative spirits to join our movement and help solidify this space as a truly global nexus for human connection and unwavering support.
