The True You

Jun 28, 2021

I have this theory... As we begin to look at the person we need to become to achieve our fantastic goals, we begin to see qualities and characteristics in others that we are drawn to. We even desire to embody these aspects for ourselves. I don't believe that is a coincidence. I believe that this is our TRUE selves, our spiritual selves if you will, telling us that those qualities and characteristics are who we truly are and anything not in line with them is simply a facade.

This is where the mindset work comes in. We have to shed the costume of this person we have been unknowingly pretending to be and step into our higher, true selves. To do this, though, we have to overcome a lot of limiting beliefs and other pieces that will block us. We literally have to change the way we think, but our current way of thinking is habitual and our body isn't going to let that habit go that easily.

The good news is that you can do things in a certain way, through constant spaced repetition, to break free from those old habits and replace them with ones that serve you on your journey. First, though, you need to answer two things:

  • Do you believe you can?

  • Are you willing to do what it takes?

If your answer to both is "YES" then it is time to get after it and go to work.
