Game Geeks News is proud to bring you another exciting new roguelite action shooter from Eldritch Tentacles Games. which has now gone live on Kickstarter. Cy: Cyberpunk Survivors features crisp, retro, pixel-art visuals, frenetic, fast-paced gameplay, ever-changing music, and easy-to-master controls. The worldwide release of early access is planned for November 14th, 2023 on Steam.
Morgan Caraway (Asheville, NC) fell in love with video games at first sight, over 45 years ago. This is a game made by a lifelong gamer for gamers everywhere.
Morgan came up with the idea of Cy over a decade ago but the technology wasn’t quite where he needed it to be yet. Now, using better tools Morgan is able to make faster progress.
Some funds will open up more time for Morgan to finish Cy quickly and to get to full release in the quickest fashion possible. He has LOTS of game ideas and by nailing this first release, hopes to open the door to many great releases for years, or possibly even decades, to come.
Cy is inspired by Vampire Survivors and ancient arcade classics such as Robotron 2084, and the unique upgrade system is inspired by action RPGs like the Diablo series. The game was broadcast live to thousands of viewers during two live streams on Steam’s Next Fest. The excitement about the game and it’s retro yet modern gameplay and look is already catching on!
