One of my long-standing but often delayed projects is to write a series of short articles about Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA). These articles would explore theories, historical sources, techniques, ideas, and recommendations. Our martial arts boasts a rich and fascinating lore that I am eager to share with a wider audience.
This project, titled HemaLore, is intended to provide entertaining and informative content, spreading knowledge about HEMA while engaging readers. It would also give me the perfect opportunity to dive deeper into research and refine my writing skills. By combining my passion for HEMA with storytelling, I hope to create a platform that inspires others to appreciate its history and practice.
The first HemaLore article: Recommendations for Two-handed sword By Pietro Monte from his Collectanea is set to be published next week, marking the beginning of this exciting journey into the world of Historical European Martial Arts.
