Why Haven’t the Alt Coins Exploded Yet? (Here’s When)

Aug 18, 2025

If you’ve been following my psychic prediction posts surrounding your best timing to make gains on the crypto market, you know I’ve had my fair share of laughs at the expense of the so-called “influencers” who started shouting about a blow-off top weeks ago. According to them, the market should’ve already melted up and collapsed back down by now. But that hasn’t happened, and if you’ve been paying attention to my updates, you’ll see why I’ve been pointing to a different timeline altogether.

Right now, Bitcoin—the big dog that sets the tone for the entire crypto market—is doing that sideways-to-slightly-up shuffle. It’s a frustrating phase for traders because it’s full of “traps”: sudden fakeouts, stop hunts, and head-fakes that make it look like something’s about to happen… until it fizzles out. Personally, this is the type of market action I tend to avoid. There’s no need to get chopped up by low-conviction moves only to make 2-5% gains when the real opportunity is just ahead.

Here’s what matters: mark your calendars for the first and especially the second weeks of September. That’s when I expect to see real accumulation start. Historically, this is the kind of setup that gives way to significant upward movement, not just in Bitcoin but across the altcoin spectrum. From September through early October, I anticipate strong upward price action (with the usual pullbacks—nothing moves in a straight line). From there, momentum could carry us into early November, and that’s where you’ll likely see the final round of "big" gains materialize.

If you’ve been with me for a while, you also know I’ve pointed to the potential for the crypto market to keep climbing into early 2026. The catch? Those later gains won’t be nearly as explosive. The sweet spot for outsized returns in a short window looks very clear: second week of September 2025 through early November 2025. That’s when the stars align for altcoins to finally have their moment.

So, to answer the question in the title: no, the altcoins haven’t exploded yet—but patience here could be rewarded in a big way. Stay alert, stay disciplined, and don’t get shaken out by the traps before the move.

And of course, let me end with the standard but essential reminder: this is not financial advice. Crypto, stocks, whatever—you should never invest more than you can afford to lose.

Pictured below: Ron of the Youtube channel "Dr of Pump and Dump" points to this chart which indicates a fib retracement of BTC to the 111,000 range, while others claim it could pull back even lower. Be sure to check out historic post-halving price action in September, noting that the first two weeks are typically very bearish for BTC which could hit the alt coins hard.
