Hello, fellow Wall Street swing traders.

Today, the stock market ended on a positive note with steady gains as an optimistic outlook for China and strong corporate earnings helped the market.

Yesterday, as we predicted, the market bounced back and forth between SPX 5820 and 5880, closing around 5860.

What was unusual about yesterday's close was that there was no movement to pull the market down, which is a good sign.

What surprised me was that the market continued to move higher for almost the entire day.

Could this uptrend continue into week 7, as it has for the past six weeks?

Let's take a look at Fullhapce’s Daily swing market forecast and explore the possibilities.

How did the daily market indices move?

Most of the major indices made gradual gains, with the exception of the Russell 2000, which fell slightly.

SPX: 5864.67, 0.40% up.

Dow Jones: 43275.91, 0.09% up.

NASDAQ: 18489.55, 0.63% up.

Russel 2000: 2291.2, -0.28% down.

Now let's take a look at the daily performance of each sector of the market.

Most sectors are up, with the exception of the energy sector, which is down slightly.

Certain sectors outperformed, including asset managers, medical technology, hospitals, railroads, and auto parts.

Other sectors underperformed, including managed care, agricultural trading companies, energy, financials, and consumer staples. Some technology companies also struggled.

What happened?

A favorable macro environment, China's economic recovery, and solid earnings pushed stocks higher.

The third-quarter earnings season was largely positive, with large companies describing the economy as balancing growth and inflation.

This, coupled with stimulus measures, made stocks more attractive.

In the tech space, there was positive news from NFLX with strong earnings and strong iPhone 16 sales in China.

Here are a few things to consider.

The third-quarter earnings season has been generally favorable, with major companies showing steady growth in a balanced economic environment.

Stock market confidence is rising due to good earnings announcements, stable growth and inflation, and increased support from central banks.

The Bank of Japan is the only major bank not planning to cut interest rates anytime soon.

China's economic data came out yesterday and was better than expected, with retail sales and industrial production improving and GDP growth coming in positive for the third quarter.

China is continuing its efforts to stimulate the economy, with lower lending rates and more government spending expected after an important leadership meeting.

Shinwar's death could ease tensions in the Middle East, which could lead to lower oil prices and benefit consumers, leading to lower inflation.

The technology sector received positive news with strong earnings from Netflix and reports of strong sales of the iPhone 16 in China.

Here is a daily forecast of market movements.

The weekly market potential is bullish and getting stronger.

The daily market potential is also trending bullish and getting stronger.

Given this week's trend, there is a slight decrease in the unpredictability of the daily market, with the possibility of market direction emerging early tomorrow.

Looking at today's market, the SPX opened at the previous day's close and continued to rise to 5875 before pulling back to close at 5865.

As a result, the daily market uncertainty has decreased slightly,

and investors seem to believe that these gains are real, which is boosting confidence.

Looking at our sector forecasts, the market could be affected soon, with financials and high beta likely to fall, and bonds likely to rise.

However, our calculated indicators lean more towards a bullish trend than a bearish one.

According to our calculations, on Monday, October 21, the SPX could fall to around 5850, bounce to around 5895, and possibly close around 5885.

If the Chinese lending rate decision is favorable for the market, this uptrend could go even higher from there.

Let's look at some other insights that may be helpful.

Stocks are in a great macro environment right now, which is driving the bulls higher.

We remain cautious about valuations and political/fiscal risks.

There are three unfavorable scenarios for the U.S. fiscal situation: excessively large deficits, severe fiscal contraction, and pointless implementation of tariffs to generate revenue.

Let's look at the opposite scenario.

The counterfactual scenario is that China news or corporate earnings disappoint and the market could fall, with the SPX going below 5830.

Here's another rationale for this scenario.

Earnings from several high-profile companies released today, Friday, fell short of expectations.

The banking sector could see a short-term decline following the release of Q3 earnings from some regional banks.

Geopolitical issues continue, including the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Russia's territorial expansion in Ukraine, and China's aggressive moves against Taiwan.

While this contrarian scenario is worth considering, I think it is unlikely to happen as there are no major events until Wednesday, with the exception of the Chinese lending rate decision.

Nevertheless, traders who are sympathetic to the contrarian scenario may want to increase their protection, but also look for buying opportunities on price dips.

Conclusion.

We believe that both the weekly and daily markets are bullish, so we think that the market will continue to rally, and the rally could go higher if the Chinese lending rate decision is favorable for the economy.

Traders who agree with our forecast might consider every dip as an opportunity to buy until the SPX approaches 5900.

Traders may also be wise to consider both the main forecast scenario and the counterfactual scenario to effectively manage risk.

Thanks for watching.
