Hi! I’m Ricky, an American-Born Fuzhounese software engineer originally from NYC.
I built fulingo.com as a passion project because I was incredibly frustrated by the lack of modern tools to learn our dialect. For too long, the only resources available were confusing spreadsheets of romanized text buried in old forums. Fuzhounese is an oral language—you need to hear it to learn it!
I recently decided to remove all advertisements from the site because they were getting in the way of the actual learning experience. I want Fulingo to remain a 100% free, clean, and accessible tool for the community.
However, hosting the audio files, running the databases, and keeping the servers online on AWS costs money every month.
