About From the Republics
first Indigenous bilingual media covering Russia’s ethnic republics
From the Republics is the first Indigenous-led bilingual media outlet covering Russia’s ethnic republics and minoritized communities. Steered by seasoned journalists, our independent newsroom upholds the truth and accuracy of reporting through rigorous fact-checking, professional impartiality and fair representation, while proactively elevating underrepresented voices and perspectives.
Our overarching mission is to build the foundation for the school of Indigenous journalism in Russia by providing a platform and training to up-and-coming Indigenous media professionals and thinkers.
Join us in our mission to shed light on Russia’s ethnic republics. Your contribution will empower Indigenous voices and promote democracy in some of the most overlooked regions in the world.
