Mastodon is a great platform with a lot of potential.
One big feature the social network is currently missing is trends for lower timeframes. As a social media like Mastodon grows, and people tries to talk about the current events, discovery of latest trends are absolutely essential.
Mastodon, currently shows 24 hour trending hashtags. This works pretty good, but I think this does not allow the users to discover and share opinions about the current events. Which is why, I am introducing Freebird Trends.
Freebird Trends is a very simple web application that provides 1 hour, 12 hour, and 24 hour trending hashtags for Mastodon. The 1 hour trend currently gets updated every 10 minutes, while the 12 and 24 hour trends gets updated once a hour. Hoping users will find this service useful! 🎉
