Freeater began with a moment that has stayed with me ever since.
What should have been a joyful family meal to celebrate my graduation quickly turned stressful when my dad had to call 15 different restaurants just to find one where he could safely eat because of his dietary needs.
Each call carried uncertainty.
Each rejection made what should have been a happy occasion feel more difficult than it should have been.
I started building Freeater to help my dad and other members of my family who face similar challenges around food. But as I began sharing the idea and speaking to more people, I realised something powerful, our experience wasn’t unique.
So many people were facing the same frustration, the same uncertainty, and the same feeling of not knowing where they could safely eat.
That’s when Freeater became something bigger than just helping my own family.
Freeater is being built to help people with food allergies and dietary requirements find food they can trust, whether they’re eating out or shopping so they can focus on enjoying the moment rather than worrying about the menu.
