About last night… 🎹😅
Well, that didn't go quite to plan, did it! If you tuned in, you'll know the audio was — to put it diplomatically — a disaster. The organ deserved far better than what came out of your speakers, and I'm sorry for that.
Here's the honest version of what happened. I've been testing a new mobile streaming setup, and when my usual method wouldn't cooperate, I fell back on YouTube's built-in webcam streaming as a last resort. It's built for talking-head video — it compresses and limits audio on the assumption you're speaking, not playing a pipe organ. So all that beautiful dynamic range got flattened to mush. Lesson well and truly learned.
The good news: I know exactly what the problem isn't now, and I'm working through what it is. There's some gear and software to sort out behind the scenes — nothing that a bit of patient troubleshooting won't fix — and normal, proper-sounding service will resume very soon.
Thank you to everyone who chipped in with suggestions. Bear with me while I get the technical gremlins sorted, and we'll be back to the music sounding as it should in no time.
See you all online folks!
