The 100 Day Challenge Way of the Scholar Warrior

This one is all about having clearly defined goals to improve physically and mentally. It’s done in the spirit of the ancient Chinese Daoist that recommend exercise combined with spiritual cultivation. So each individual should take the time to reflect and jot down some specific things they would like to succeed in. For example, I’ve chosen to climb more stairs at work, go out for hikes in the park, and do some light jogging three times a week. Additionally, I’ll being doing daily strength training with a simple system I call the Atlas system; it’s just push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. I’ve also got a curl bar I use for some basic muscle enhancement. This give me a clear roadmap for my physical attributes on the journey. For spiritual cultivation, I wake early, do some seated meditation, aphorisms, prayer, and basic ceremonial magick. Also, I am reading the Tao Te Jing as part of this challenge, and have made myself a list of 10 virtues that I will focus on for 10 days each. For the YouTube, I’ve made a couple videos explaining the challenge, and will continue to offer support there and in the discord. So join me on the 100 Day Challenge Way of the Scholar Warrior.

It’s a good idea to have a specific action plan for each target area on your schedule. I keep a calendar close to my training area and keep track of what I do each day. Also, you’ll know exactly what you should do next. Keep in mind to be gentle with yourself. Training up in a new area is never an easy thing. Frater Tomas referred to it as Limbic Friction in hypnosis. The more you push against yourself to do a new thing, the better you’ll get at it and the easier it will become to practice. Forgive yourself when you miss a session and vow to do a little better each time. Stay focus on the task at hand and the single isolate action you’re engaged in. This is the Bushido aspect of the training; being single purposed.

Next, you might want to seek support in your endeavor. Reach out to me directly via the Discord Channel for Lunar Lite Ent. or here on YouTube. Think of including a friend in your training if you have one. Also, journal about your undertaking. Even if you write little, making notes about various aspects of successes and failures will help to motivate you to engage. Not only that it makes for a tangible record that you can always look back on with pride and a sense of accomplishment. Then when you want to share your experience with someone you love, you will have notes and talking points to bring clarity to the subject. Connecting with people who share interests and goals always strengthens one’s resolve to take action on making real and lasting progress.

Finally, it’s a good idea to reflect and pray. Review each day as you lay down to sleep at night on how successful you were in achieving some self-strengthening against the parameters of the challenge. When you awaken in the morning meditate on what good you can do that day. Enjoy the journey and embrace the challenge. Much love to everyone in happyland that will be joining in on this new and exciting endeavor. Good luck and Good Magick!
