Moroccan Cigars

Moroccan Cigars

Aug 16, 2023

Have you ever seen Food so interesting just the sight of it makes your mouth water?

Moroccan cigars or sigarim is a traditional dish originating from Morocco, but it's especially popular in Israel. The dish consists of phyllo pastry that's filled with ground lamb (or beef), onions, garlic, and a variety of spices such as cinnamon, cumin, coriander, and nutmeg.

You can make these cigars with any kind of ground meat, including vegetarian crumbles (no one will believe they are vegetarian).  Something about the combo of spices covers up anything else and make the perfect filling.  All you need to do is wrap, roll and bake or fry!
