A few people have asked whether it’s possible to add a free-text notes field to reports.
I did consider this early on, but free-text only really works if it’s shown publicly — and that opens it up to things like advertising, off-topic comments or misuse that add no value to the public view.
Because I’m building and running this in my own time, I’ve deliberately kept reports very structured so the data stays usable and the tool stays manageable. Supporting notes properly would require moderation, manual approval and manual intervention in how statuses are shown, which just isn’t realistic for an unpaid, spare-time project.
If the reports form ever changes, it would likely be through better question design rather than open notes — but any changes here aren’t small tweaks. Even minor-seeming additions require a full rethink of how reports are interpreted and displayed.
