"A little reminder that sometimesthe leap is better than the rock. Hope you're finding your courage this week."
Two little frogs sat on a rock,
The rock was clammy and bare.
She gazed out over the steep river edge
And whispered, "My love, should we dare?"
He stared up through the canopy of leaves
As they slowly swayed in a dance;
She could not detect the angst in his face,
Or the wobble in his usually firm stance.
They had been on the rock since he could recall;
Though clammy and bare, it was home.
He was not the biggest adventurer,
But he knew it was useless to moan.
He observed her face, full of anticipation to race,
And he pulled up his boy shorts high.
His love for her grew, and her eyes sparkled blue,
As they held hands and took a leap into the sky.
"What’s your 'clammy rock' that you're afraid to leave?"
