Overview
This project provides an affordable race timing and photo finish system using Arduino Giga, LabVIEW, and a mobile phone camera (iVCAM). The system accurately tracks lane crossings using ultrasonic distance sensors, while a USB camera captures pre- and post-trigger frames for photo finish analysis.
Requirements
Hardware:
Arduino Giga (with USB-C connection to the host PC)
Up to 8 ultrasonic distance sensors
Mobile phone or USB camera (e.g., iVCAM app for mobile phone usage)
PC running LabVIEW
Software:
Arduino IDE (free download)
LabVIEW Community Edition (free for non-commercial use)
iVCAM (optional, recommended for a cost-effective remote camera solution)
