Finally, I overcome my fear of doing a Live Video Conferencing Call with my Students at Hilot Academy that last Sunday I did it. I return on having this weekly Video Call with my students as part of their learning process. Communication is very important to me so that I may personally if they really have acquired the knowledge and skills from what i have shared in the class.
my stroke gives me a lot of insecurities aside from the blurred speech and facial numbness that gives me speech difficulties. Aside from that Physical limitations, I am so afraid that my mind wont work the same as before to handle random questions and connect their questions to the main topic.
But you may say that I am doing Vlog and that is different from having live video class. As in doing vlog, i am focused on the content or topic that i am discussing, but in live video call conferencing aside from the topic, you have to think also how to make your students participate and entertain also their thoughts at the same time. But last Sunday and monday, I have overcome it and thanks to the Diwata that we have worked out these previous months from my Abyan Diwatang Mayari to Diwata sa Kagubatan, Ampu Nagsalad, Bathala and Diwatang Malaon so as Lakay's Legions of Diwata which i will not name here unless Lakay will openly talk about it to the PUblic.
Though my topic last sunday and monday was about Pulse Reading Analysis but it seems that i catch up with the rest of the topic on sharing what Hilot is. This video is just a short clip emphasizing what i want to share with you about Filipino Hand Shake.
Usually the Hand Shake that we know is done through Palm to Palm and now because of Pandemic it change either doing Elbow to Elbow or Fist to Fist. Throughout the times, Handshake evolves as doing High Five is considered also as a Handshake so as the side slap of palms.
But our Filipino Ancestors do Handshake through Wrist-to-wrist. The reason for that is to feel the warmth and sincerity of the person not just in closing a deal or making a compact. Then after holding the wrist they place their palms in front of their chest in reverence to the person they made a compact with.
