I was astonished to learn recently that Artificial Intelligence uses great quantities of water. For example, a typical interaction with ChatGPT, could use the equivalent of a bottle of water.
Then I discovered that Kabul could become the first capital city to run out of water.
Could it be that this phase in humanity's history doesn't end with the bang of the rise of the machines but with a whimper of a dried-out planet?
