Unexpexted Errors with Solid 20 in Ansys
In this video, the focus is on nonlinear or 20-nodes hexahedral elements and the absence of their representation in the previous video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJLyL-bDqx8). While linear hexahedral elements exhibit normal behavior, switching to quadratic hexahedral elements with mid-sides results in unexpected errors, particularly when using a single element per side and thickness.
The error is demonstrated, and the video discusses the perplexing nature of this issue. Most interesting that its occur in ANSYS but not in Siemens NX Advanced Simulation.
For now the reason for me are not clear. So will be very glad if someone help to share insights or explanations for this unexpected behavior.
