Tie-Fighter Desk Lamp

Tie-Fighter Desk Lamp

May 07, 2024

So i have finally completed the first of my star wars desk lamp collection...
I printed the whole thing with PETG grey and handpainted the desk lamp myself.. The extending arm i brought it through aliexpress.. here's my affiliate link if you want to buy the same one.. they have 2 colors.. im using the white color for a different ship desk lamp..
the whole desk lamp is about 60cm tall without extending the arm.. the base is 20cm diameter.. the max build size of bambu printers.. the tie-fighter wings are about 15cm x 15cm ish.. i had to resize to fit the led kit puck inside the tie-fighter body..

The whole base is weight about 1kg to support the whole arm and lamp.. I used extra large steel nuts i brought from the hardware store.. and you'll need a bunch of M3 12mm screws and M3 brass insert to screw the base to the dome.. you'll also need 8mm diameter brass rod i brought a bunch of them for other projects from my local hobby store.. gundam guys love these brass rod..

I will make instructions on how to assemble the whole desk lamp in a few days.. if you're interested on making or selling them.. can you please buy the bambu led kit 001 from my affiliate links.. the price is the same.. only i get commission from the sales.. it helps me a lot getting sales commissions from bambu lab.. and they let me integrate more of the other hardware kit they sell too..

i've already uploaded the stl for my merchant supporters on my google drive.. so you can print them while waiting for me to write the instruction assembly.. for everyone else.. i'll post it on makerworld on Monday.. i'll also share the tie-interceptor version after this too since the only different i made was the wings..

i hope you'll have fun 3d printing this one..

Enjoy this post?
