Special Chapter 1:
Nubsib and a photo of Khun Gene
At that time, Nubsib was in ninth grade.
Since high school, his parents have sent him to study abroad like his older brother, because the family's financial business was never a drawback for Nubsib studying abroad. He had to adjust to living alone in a place that wasn't his hometown, doing everything by himself. Learning things he had never seen or known before. It was a teaching method of the Thanakitpaisarn family to their children.
It might be fortunate for them to have a son who was quite smart from a young age. Nubsib quickly adapted to the culture here. He went sightseeing, partying, and joined sports clubs. He even had sex like like any ordinary American teenager.
Although he was Asian, his height and appearance did not disadvantage him. He could smile and flirt with blonde girls, many of whom shared their experiences of hooking up and boasting with their friends. However, after a while, he realized that these new experiences were not as appealing to him as he thought.
“AiSib.”
“Yes.” he responded, raising his gaze from his phone, clad in a gray sweater and thick fabric scarf, as he stepped down from the sofa.
Nueng, who was wearing a thick gray scarf, said, “I'm going out to meet some friends. You're not going anywhere today, right?”
“Um.”
“Alright, I might come back late to drop off some deliveries. Not going out with your girlfriend again.”
“We broke up.”
“Huh!?....” the older brother with a scrunched brow remarked, “Broke up again? You don't seem like a playboy at all.”
“...”
“Whatever, take care and call me if you need anything.”
He opened the front door and walked out. A sudden gust of cool wind blew in, dissipating the warmth from the heater for a moment. The younger brother paid no attention, still staring at his own phone.
A playboy? He was not a playboy.
Every time he dated someone, it was because they hit it off and thought they could be together. There was no love at first sight with the first girl, nor any special feeling towards anyone. Certainly, many girls felt the same way. Sometimes she might just want a companion, a friend, but after being together for a while, she felt like changing, and they parted ways.
Nubsib was only in grade nine, but the thoughts and readings of teenagers here were quite mature.
Sex was normal, which... was too normal to the point that he himself got bored of it. It had become mundane, not exciting anymore.
Onuma: (sent an image)
Onuma: I had someone send Thai seasonings to you. Waiting to receive them, my dear children.
Onuma: Today, I went to visit your Auntie Ran. Do you remember them? They live in the house next door? It's Auntie Ran's birthday today, and her son came back home to celebrate with her.
Onuma: Just seeing him makes me think of you, Sib.
Nubsib looked at the message that popped up from someone on the other side of the world. It's dark here for a while now. On the other side, it must be midday and time to eat lunch.
Onuma: Do you remember Gene? Gene and Jap, well they've grown up into adults now.
Onuma: Just seeing him makes me miss Sib.
Gene?
From Mom's message. When reading it, it's normal for the mind to think of Nubsib and remember the neighborhood where as a child, I loved to run around. Just like how the little son of the house next door loved to come play with me almost every day.
Nubsib still remembers “Phii Gene.” even though many years have passed.
We are five years apart in age, but I am closer to Phii Gene than my own older brother. Since Gene moved out of the house, we’ve hardly seen each other again, especially since I went abroad to study. We haven't had any contact.
When his mother mentioned it Nubsib started to feel a little nostalgic.
He moved his finger to ask for a picture from his mother but on the other hand, he didn't pay much attention. In the end, he just sent a plain sticker and sat on the sofa playing for a while, before going to take a shower to get ready for bed.
In the warm bedroom, unlike the nighttime air outside, his tall, youthful body climbed into bed. He picked up his phone and opened it to play again, going onto Facebook to see the movements of people from his homeland. He scrolled down the news feed continuously, his face not expressing anything. He started to feel drowsy little by little, but before falling asleep, he stumbled upon a story...
Nubsib wasn't friends with the person who posted, but he was friends with his own mother who was tagged in it.
Jeb Jarernpipat posted a picture.
Mom's getting one more year older this year. LOL
In the picture, there are six people. The background is a wide garden with a long decorative table. It includes his parents, and his uncle and aunt from the house next door, but... the one that catches Nubsib's eye the most is a man in the lower right corner.
The other person is smiling broadly, eyes squinting, raising two fingers. The other hand still holds a plate of delicious-looking Foi Thong cake. His lips have cream smudges as if someone teased him. While smiling, he pushes his cheeks out on each side.
He can't take his eyes off that person for a split second, like a strange, mesmerizing fish.
Nubsib doesn't need anyone to tell him who that is. He knows immediately.
His 'Phii Gene'
Judging from the outfit he was wearing, a white student uniform that hasn't been seen in many years. On the other side, the one must be in his third year of university.
Normally, Nubsib is not someone who pays too much attention to anyone around him, but this time he couldn't control his finger and accidentally liked a post on Jap's Facebook, who is the other person’s older brother.
Scrolling down, he saw a post from a girl who posted something and tagged the person she was interested in.
Jeb Jarernpipat posted a picture.
Little brother brought me to watch a movie, an alien movie or something I don't know. It's nauseating to watch, but these guys seem to like it on Facebook. Orz
The pictures were posted three days ago. One was a ticket picture from the cinema on the top floor of a mall in downtown Bangkok, while the other picture was Phii Gene in a magician costume, a white t-shirt and jeans. On the other side, someone was hugging a popcorn tin in their arms. And the other hand held a big-sized soda glass up to drink. A casual photo that many people on Facebook commented teasingly on the little brother, the owner of the Facebook, in a funny and hilarious way.
... but for him, the only thought that popped into his head was 'adorable.'
I don’t know which part of my brain gave the order...
Nubsib saved that picture on his device.
Jeb Jarernpipat posted a picture.
Little stupid brother, you make the whole family look bad.
And the day passed from watching a movie one day before...
A corner of the garden inside the house, to those who look at it, feels somewhat familiar, but it's a bit confusing. In front of a flower bush that had been trimmed into a square, there was the figure of the owner's son sitting with his back to the ground. The blue hose fell next to the hose head and fell off in the other direction. The water in the hose sprayed out until it was wet everywhere, even wetting the student shirt that the person who fell was wearing.
The tight shirt clings to the body of the owner because both arms are pulled back and tucked behind. While the chest and neck stretch forward. Two small and distinct buttons stand out against the clean white shirt.
The thick eyebrows of Nubsib knitted together as he looked closer.
In his heart, suddenly found that his body reacted strangely to the pictures in front of him.
He clicked to view the comments when he saw that there were quite a number of comments showing.
@Jiranon Jarernpipat Phii Jap stop posting pictures of others for a while. Phii, what kind of madness are you in?
(Reply) Jeb Jarernpipat attached a video clip.
The person watching immediately clicked to play without hesitation.
‘Oh Phii Jap, close it.’
‘Haha, wasn't it you the person who said he would help me water the plant, are you going to help or come and suffocate together with the grass?'
‘Can you close it and give it to me first, why shoot a clip?’
Phii Gene raised his white hands to wipe the water off his face, stretching his body up from the ground clumsily. His shirt and every part of him still stuck, showing all the proportions. The voice he heard was a man's voice, but still cute and charming from afar.
Finally, the clip was cut off.
There are still many statuses that the owner of the account posted to tease his younger brother Nubsib, endlessly entertaining, all saved on the computer. Eventually, as it increased, he created a folder with a separate name for them.
That night, he fell asleep with his mind filled with images of the older brother next door whom he had not seen for many years...
In the morning of the next day,
The room's owner woke up with slightly wrinkled brows coming together slightly. He took a light breath when he realized that last night he dreamed of Phii Gene again, ever since he saw the picture that night, there had never been a day when Nubsib could brush his image off.
He knew Gene's Facebook, but on the other hand, he rarely updated anything other than changing his profile picture or cover photo occasionally. His own face was also rarely updated, but Phii Jap's Facebook page was filled with pictures of Gene. Therefore, he often viewed the pictures and activities of the other party, just like a mentally ill person every day.
Certainly. Even when closing his eyes, sometimes he still saw the picture.
Nubsib did not want it to be like this, but he could not control his subconscious mind.
He saw Gene lying on his own wide bed, sending a slight smile, but his cheeks were slightly red. He raised his hand to hug him and whispered 'Sib' softly.
It was a dream that teenage boys would think of, not sexy women with attractive figures, but rather an older brother next door whom he loved and looked up to.
Nubsib constantly looked at the pictures of the other party every day. Eventually, his feelings accumulated like a large snow-covered mountain.
Wanting to meet in person...
Wanting to hug
Wanting to kiss
Wanting to lean in forcefully like in the dream
Since seeing the picture, until today, his thoughts and feelings have become more and more intense, sometimes making him even scared of himself.
Nubsib already knew how he would deal with this situation.
“So, how are you going to deal with this university issue? Are you going to university here or not?” Nueng asked as he put his belongings in his bag, preparing to fly back home to Thailand.
“Actually life is good here.”
“No, I'll go back home.”
“Oh, so you changed your mind?”
The person being asked just shrugged.
“Well, our home is good, Mom and Dad miss you just like I do.”
“...”
“If I'm not around, don't bring any girls home...but these days you're not dating anyone anyways, so it's all good.”
Nubsib watched his older brother get into a taxi heading to the airport to go back to his country. As for himself, he had one more year left to finish his studies.
He never used to care about how fast or slow time passed, but now he felt jealous of his older brother.
Returning home, he picked up his phone again and stared at it silently for a while. Perhaps his planned return to Thailand had made him realize that just scrolling through pictures of the person he missed wasn't enough. Before deciding, he sent a message to someone.
Nubsib Tanagijpaisarn: Phii Jap
Nubsib Tanagijpaisarn: Can you remember me?
He wanted...someone who could talk about everything regarding 'Phii gene.'
Special Chapter 2:
Phii Tum and his mission
“I already said that I won't accept this type of job again.”
The listener's face stiffened, then relaxed, “I know, but this is the first time they've contacted me. It's the final job for real.”
Tum glanced at the tall, well-proportioned figure from head to toe, trying to appeal for sympathy, but the other person didn't even bother to look up and continued staring at the smartphone in hand.
A few days ago, Tum’s older sister and the owner of the modeling agency, whois actually hissmae father, same mother and true older sister, called asking for Nubsib and Nong Aey to take on a couple modeling job. Even though they had already signed a new contract, the true sister used a method of 'pleading' to get them to come.
The teenage fashion modeling job would take place at a mall in the city on Christmas Eve, which was just seven days away. Tum had already contacted Aey earlier. At first, the other party was hesitant as he knew these two did not want to work together, but after a little coaxing, Nong Aey almost agreed for nearly two hours. It was alright now...
It was just a matter of convincing the other one.
His older sister didn't want to reject Lily, the landlord, so she reluctantly asked Nubsib for help, but this would be the last time.
“This time it's not just you and Nong Aey, he's inviting all the lead actors as well, there shouldn't be any problems. I also confirmed with my sister that this is truly the last time.”
“Do you trust your sister that much?”
“I...” Tum didn't give the correct answer. He knew within himself, “Uh, sure. If you want, I'll handle it myself. You already have the contract. Also, I see that they're inviting everyone to this job. If you don't go, it might look bad.”
“...”
“Well, AiSib, do this for my sake, the little manager with big, cursory eyes.”
“...”
“For my sake, I am friends with AiGene, your wife.”
Tum mentioned the name of his friend, a writer, and the person who sat quietly looking at his phone seemed to glance up for a second, so Tum continued, “AiGene doesn't care about anything, he's a person who is super reasonable.”
He said that, but in his heart, there was a mix of complaints and supplications. Please just take on this task for me. Asking this little young man for help was his ultimate hardship. Nubsib was not concerned with matters like these. His family was wealthy enough so it was pointless to use money as a stick or carrot, and that is what makes it so difficult.
“Let's do it like this then.”
“What!?” Tum quickly moved to sit on the sofa directly opposite his own child, looking anxious.
“Lately, Gene refuses to come back and sleep in my room...”
“...”
“If you can get Gene to come back to sleep in my room, then I agree.”
Tum was initially puzzled, but then he turned stern, “So why haven't you gone to call AiGene and ask for him to come back?”
The person listening raised his face to look at him as if he were a comedian, “Do you really think I haven't tried?”
“AiGene refused to come back?”
...You were the one who told him to go back to sleep in his own room, Tum wanted to say, but he dared not.
“Taking matters into our own hands might be better. Having plenty of plans isn't the solution, right? I think this method will yield better results.”
This time, Nubsib used his sharp gaze to look directly at him, “This time, I'll take care of it.”
“Why?”
“No reason.” the person replied smoothly, then lowered his head to look back at the screen, “I'll handle tasks that weren't agreed upon, but I won't invest anything in return, understand?”
“Fine, okay.” Tum raised his hand in surrender, “Alright, I agree. I'll handle this myself.”
Seeing the child in his charge put on a small, innocent face, he suddenly felt a surge of sympathy. He thought about whether the child was his manager or something else entirely, but upon further reflection, he realized he was more to blame. Wanting without wanting to lose anything was too much to ask, and all the burdens fell on him alone, heavy and difficult.
It was somewhat fortunate that he had always been the personal manager for this child. Despite his silence and slightly intimidating presence, working with him was more reassuring than with others. If he didn't go beyond his limits, Nubsib wouldn't complain. He came to work on time, and he worked professionally.
Thinking like this, it's also a shame that the other party will retire from the industry a little bit too.
Take it...
Tum stood up from the sofa and said, “You still have two more days of exams, right?”
“Yes,” he replied.
“Then, I'll go to your room tonight. Right now, I'll go call AiGene for a bit.” he said without waiting for the other person to respond. Tum took out his phone from his pocket and made a video call to a friend. If he wasn't sleeping, he would be watching movies or TV series according to his mood.
I think if Nubsib speaks but Gene doesn't return to his room, it means he loses the right to speak normally.
He walked from the bedroom in the model building to the small kitchen corner where the staff were brewing drinks for guests.
Tum grabbed a paper cup and made himself a cup of coffee. In the meantime, the signal on his phone changed to a moving image.
[So, what's up?]
“What are you doing, AiGene?”
[Just woke up. What's the video call about?]
Not being able to use his hands, Tum placed his phone on the counter and looked up at the screen. At the end of the line, he could see the ceiling vaguely.
“Sorry, I'm making coffee.”
[Are you with Sib?]
“Erm, he just got back from the university and came to check the office schedule.”
[How was the test, Sib said? Did he do okay?]
“Why don't you talk to him on LINE?” Tum said as he was putting sugar in his coffee and then picked up his phone to chat.
Seeing his friend still in his loose-fitting t-shirt, looking a bit sleepy, with messy light brown hair and slightly bleary-eyed, it seemed like he had just woken up. Gene didn't look at the camera but held his phone in front of him, walking back and forth, seeming dazed, as if he was trying to figure out whether to go in and out of his own room and the bathroom.
[I just woke up, haven't checked LINE yet, and already got a phone call. I'll brush my teeth quickly.]
“Uh.” Tum waited for the other person to finish his personal matters while the coffee was waiting.
[Um, do you have any personal matters? Why did you call me?]
“I'm just bored. I'm drinking coffee and I just want to find someone to chat with.” he lied.
[Oh! It's strange. I remember when I used to have a date with a girl to go to Siam Square and I was so excited that I called my friend to hold the line and wait all the time.]
“Damn, you still remember that?”
[How the hell do my friends remember this kind of stuff?]
Seeing the look on Tum's face, he thought he wanted to say something sarcastic and funny about the old days at their school, but after thinking about it, he didn't want Gene to get upset, so I changed my words to “So, do you sleep in your own room?”
[Huh? Um...]
“You haven't gone back to stay in the same room with AiSib?”
[Not yet.] The listener looked puzzled. [You already know that.]
“Uh... I forgot. Working is exhausting.”
[We should stay apart until the series ends. It's better that way. If someone in the condo secretly takes pictures of me coming and going from Sib's room to sell as news, it would be worse than before.]
“My sister only forbade it outside. Inside the condo there is no problem. Just have to be careful, that's all.”
[It's still dangerous.]
Gene walked into the kitchen, rummaging through the cupboards for food. Tum saw his friend take a bite of a sandwich into his mouth, chewing slowly until his cheeks pouched out.
It's good to sleep like this. Just a little more patience.
“I see Sib going to your room often, it's no different.”
[It's different. There is no overnight stay.]
Tum sneakily glanced around, why wasn't it as easy as he thought it would be this time? “I realize that you two are all suffering like this, but I can't stand it. If you just sleep together, you guys can go ahead. Don't stress about it.”
[...]
“You guys live in the same condo building. Everyone knows about it.”
[Tum, you're so strange.]
“Uh... what?”
[Why are you telling me to go back and sleep in the same room as Sib.]
The coffee cup in the hands of Nubsib’s manager shook as he lifted it, two drops spilled out. Luckily, Gene couldn't see the shock in his eyes, because of the burning sensation. Tum quickly placed the cup down and grabbed a napkin to wipe his mouth, saying, “I saw you with AiSib and felt sorry for you. Have a little sympathy for me too, you can see that I haven't come near you all since the beginning.”
[You suddenly saying something like that is strange.]
“Sib is like a little brother to me, you're my friend, I want people who know me to be happy.”
[Oh!]
“...”
[Don't worry, AiTum. In just a month or two, the series will end. I'm okay.]
“...”
You're okay, but your husband is not okay! Tum didn't shout out, he just said, “Uh, okay then, but if you miss each other when you're lonely, you don't have to come and annoy yourself, okay.”
Gene blinked. [Um, okay, can I go take a shower first? I want to wash my hair.]
“Um...um, whatever you want, I just finished my coffee. Thanks.”
[Okay, see you then.]
The call ended. Tum took a deep breath and sighed heavily. He thought to himself that just nodding along with his friends should have been easy, but it wasn't.
The first plan: failed.
The first plan that Tum had come up with in his mind was quickly dismissed. He had thought that just nodding along with his friends would have been easy, but it wasn't.
As far as he knew, his friend was trying to keep things calm and avoid any problems. Tum knew that Gene was enduring, waiting for everything to be okay in the end. The kid he was managing understood this well, but he couldn't bear it anymore. Nubsib was restless, wanting to cuddle his own partner, his heart almost breaking. There must be a way to handle the situation of someone finding out and wanting to intervene, but what charm could he use to trick them into coming back to sleep together.
Just endure it.
Tum understood that he was being used by Nubsib, who probably didn't want Gene to be mad at himself (Nubsib) if he went to deceive him. So he chose this path instead.
He felt a little guilt on his face, but he finished the coffee, threw the cup in the trash, and walked back to the bedroom. He took his phone out and started to plan the next move.
“I'll be staying in your room tonight.” he said to the person still playing with their phone.
“Okay, no problem.”
Nubsib didn't ask about the phone call between his manager and his boyfriend. He probably already knew the reason behind it.
Tum, you sly dog...
Early evening.
The manager had completed everything smoothly, clearing out all the work and dumping the empty foam boxes that had once contained crispy pork fried rice, which he had given to his staff members for dinner, into the trash. He checked his phone and saw that it was almost four in the evening.
As for Nubsib, he had gone back to have dinner with Gene at the condominium at six o'clock.
Tum drove out of the model building and followed the familiar route back to the condominium where he had just left Gene. This time, he parked without any hesitation and got out of the car without asking any questions. He pressed the code he knew well until he reached the top floor.
At first, he hesitated a bit about knocking on someone else's door, but in the end, he went to the front of his own child's room.
“You're in your own room, huh?”
As the owner of the room came out and opened the door, he greeted with a sound, a mix of surprise and unsurprise.
“Gene, you need to go back.”
Tum could only look at him with pity in his eyes.
He thought about teasing, but at the same time, he was afraid of getting hot-headed.
Nubsib was still in his student outfit, holding some documents in his hand, probably some study sheets. Seeing Gene asking for his return, he quickly went back to his own room. It was because Nubsib had an exam tomorrow and he wanted to focus on studying something in that regard.
“You don't have to take care of me. Just read your own books at your own pace.”
“I don't plan on doing that.”
“...Ugh.”
Tum sat on the couch. While Nubsib went back to his own room, he didn't tell his friend that he was now in Nubsib's room, nor did he start to formulate any plans.
Tum sat on the couch for the first three minutes. The next three minutes, he browsed social media on his phone. The following three minutes, he went to the kitchen looking for the ice cream that the housekeeper had placed in various flavors in the fridge. Finally, when it was almost midnight, he got up from the couch, stretched, and opened the balcony door connected to the living room.
He made sure to close the door quietly so that no one would know what he was about to do.
The balcony on the other side was Gene's room. The faint light streaming out timidly indicated that the owner of the room was still awake, and luckily, the glass door was slightly ajar, only the latch closed.
He... did something that seemed incredibly foolish and no-brain option, which was searching for clips of crying female ghosts on YouTube, then playing it softly for the lower side to hear.
“...”
The sound that suddenly came caused Tum's hair to stand on end.
The midnight breeze blew in the distance, rustling the curtains in Gene's room.
If he didn't look down and see the lit up condos of other buildings and passing cars, he thought he might have trembled from the wind as well, but for the sake of his work and not letting himself feel annoyed, Tum endured.
He waited to hear the sound of his friend running out of the room and knocking on the door of the adjacent room out of fear. Perhaps he would ask Nubsib to sleep with him and calm down with the shaking fear all night... perfect ending to the ultimate perfect mission, but...
So close.
The latch of the glass door on the side room was pushed open.
Tum's heart almost stopped. He quickly hid in the corner to turn off the clip and put his hands up to cover the sound.
“Who is crying for help in the middle of the night like this?”
“...”
“Is it a ghost?”
In summary, his friend (Gene) did not run crying to knock on the door of the lover's room, but walked tentatively to the source of the sound himself.
Tum's eyes almost rolled back, had to sneak a peek and slightly pursed his lips when he saw that Gene standing outside the balcony, besides the perplexed face, also had a touch of annoyance in his expression, turning his head left and right as if looking for a ghost...or something.
Without the slightest hint of fear at all.
“Whatever ghost you are, just be quiet a bit, you are bothering other people trying to watch the movie.”
“...”
Then the other party turned back into the room, followed by sliding the glass door to close and lock it.
Second Plan: Failed.
Tum clutched his head, opened the glass door to go back into the room, but when he lifted his face, there was something that made him startle.
“Oh...AiSib.”
“...”
Nubsib, who had finished bathing and changed into pajamas, stood with his hands crossed in front, with his sharp eyes calm and silent, always calm and silent, but this time it was a kind of calm and silence that he deliberately conveyed to let the opposite know what he was thinking.
“Come out...why are you standing there quietly, you scared me.”
He was getting more and more irritated because of the sound of the clip he opened by himself earlier.
“What are you doing?”
“Umm...” Tum answered incorrectly, avoiding eye contact and thinking that if the kid in front knew that he had gone out earlier to make ghostly sounds and cry, he would definitely be in big trouble.
“Are you playing ghostly sounds to scare Gene?”
He already knew, why ask such a thing!
“Umm.” he raised his hand and used his index finger to push up the frame of his slipping glasses.
Thought he was going to be reprimanded, but all he received was a strange look, “Gene is not afraid of ghosts, you probably already knew, right?”
“...Huh!?”
He knew that, but didn't need anyone else to explain it further. The brain could come up with something on its own. Yes... normally the movies that his own friends choose to watch would be horror, alien, ghost, or thriller movies. Even though he turned to watch movies in the romance genre, about love between men, he used to write something like this before, and never said he was afraid. Besides, he could watch horror movies in a dark room late at night...
The sound of the ghost clip he played earlier probably made the other person more scared than sitting and watching a really scary series.
How is that...
He knew it wasn't a ghost, and turned out to be the one making the sound himself, still scared to the point of almost wetting himself.
Tum thinks Gene is really masculine
Come to Third Plan..
Since haunting Gene with ghosts didn't work, the haunting Gene that the ghost haunted Nubsib.
At first, he thought of catching a dragonfly to release in his friend's room, but that didn't seem like a good idea. Gene would figure it out and it could be a big deal, so just simply reversing back to the past, Tum at the time of university remembered that when they went out drinking near the water pipes in the alley late at night, dragonflies emerged from that pipe. Gene was really annoyed, but killed it by a hoof kick immediately...
So, he shouldn't bother to catch dragonflies under the condo, it is a waste of time.
Tum goes to find his friend
Tum (contact work number): AiGene
Tum (contact work number): What are you doing, I have something to talk about
Tum (contact work number): Very important
Waiting for a response for a while, Nubsib's phone then trembled
Gene: What
Gene: I'm watching a movie
Tum (contact work number): AiSib huh
Tum (contact work number): Called me, his voice sounded distressed
Gene: Huh?
Gene: Why? What's wrong with Nubsib?
The immediate bounce response made people smile
Being concerned like this, how can their friends not have to clutch a pillow and blanket to sleep with their girlfriend tonight for sure
Tum (contact work number): It said he might have haunted by a ghost
Tum (contact work number): He heard a woman crying, not sure where the sound was coming from
He chose to type it in a neutral tone, roughly saying that Nubsib himself didn't know what he heard, which would make it not look disgusting and seem overly suspicious. He used the ghost video that he opened earlier to be useful.
Gene: Um, I heard the same thing.
Tum (contact work number): Damn, really!? Do you guys have ghosts in the condo?
Tum (contact work number): Really scary.
Gene: Nah, I think it might come from another room. Let's watch TV, it's too quiet here.
Gene: Ghosts aren't real at all.
“...”
Tum wanted to run out of this room and break through the door of that room and throw his own friend on Nubsib's bed to make him aware of what he wanted to do.
Tum (contact work number): Whether it's real or not, I don't know either. I just know that Sib is afraid.
Tum (contact work number): Tell me you don't know what I am talking about when you write these books, but don't want to bother you.
Gene: Really?
Gene: I'll take care of it myself.
The latest message that bounced made Tum smile broadly. He immediately got up from the sofa where he was sitting, walked to hide in the kitchen, planning that if Gene opened the door to Nubsib's room and came in with a backup card, he wouldn't see him separate.
The trim body hid near the refrigerator, but it was a point where you could see out.
Suddenly, the door to the large bedroom where Nubsib was reading a book opens. The owner's figure walked out and made Tum frown, count the steps, walk straight to the balcony, slide open the door, and walk out.
Wait, wrong person, wrong door, right?
There was a loud talking sound coming through, so he walked out of the kitchen with light footsteps, hiding near the glass door and discreetly listening with earbuds.
“You're really focused on reading the book, nothing's there.”
“...” Nubsib stayed quiet.
“Oh, where is the ghost real? It must be a TV sound from some room. If it was real, it would have haunted you for a long time. Why would it suddenly want to haunt you today.”
“...”
“If you're uncomfortable, you can take this. This is from a person I know, she once gave it to me.”
“...”
“Don't make that face, come on...”
Then Tum heard the sound of their shirts rubbing against each other. They may have hugged, kissed each other's cheeks, or something else, I don't know. He only knew that his expression wasn't the kind of face ordinary people would show.
A few minutes later, Nubsib walked back into the room again, closing the door behind him with a click.
When he turned around and saw him, although no traces showed in those eyes, the aura surrounding him made people want to shrink themselves to the size of an ant and disappear elsewhere.
Swish-swash
Nubsib shuffled some thick documents onto the low table in front of the sofa, glanced at him once, then went back into his own room immediately without saying anything, but his gaze conveyed everything.
Tum moved away from where he was standing. When he turned to look at the thing thrown on the table, his face became dry.
A prayer book.
AiGene... his friend, he was a simple, honest, mischievous guy, but sometimes his straightforwardness could be just as annoying.
Third Plan: Still Failed.
Now, it can be guaranteed that no matter who comes to be with him in the same position now will definitely feel both extremely uncomfortable and extremely annoyed. Talking about it seems easy, just like this, but it could turn out to be difficult.
Tum sighed unhappily, picked up his phone and texted his friend again. Clearly, pouring his emotions into it.
Tum (contact work number): Aren't you worried about your boyfriend at all?
Tum (contact work number): Your boyfriend is afraid of ghosts, but you let him sleep alone.
Tum (contact work number): I admire you, AiGene.
Gene: Wait.
Gene: What do you want?
Tum (contact work number): Nothing, just if you move to sleep with AiSib, everything will be over.
Gene: What do you mean by that? Why do I have to go to sleep with Sib?
Gene:You've been talking about this since noon.
Tum (contact work number): Uh, I want you to sleep with him.
Gene: Why?
Tum (contact work number): Because if you move to sleep with him, he will accept one last job offer.
Tum is too lazy to come up with a plan for the fourth round and the fifth round. It seems like he won't be successful this time either. Instead of being in a mess like this, he thinks he would rather have his sister scold him for an hour if he takes his ears and eyes to do something. It would still be better.
So he explains everything truthfully. The one who played a ghost video clip or calls to say that Nubsib is scared of ghosts until he is almost blown away.
Gene: Are you Santa?
Tum (contact work number): Uh, but I'm too lazy to do anything.
Gene: Then why didn't you say it at first?
Tum (contact work number): What should I say at first, you didn't come back.
The face of the person sitting alone in the room having a blank moment is angrier than before. Tum continued to type several more sentences, but all of them were evaluated as usual.
He is getting frustrated.
Just as he was about to get up and go back to take a bath to relax and go rest at his own home, a sound unlocked the door and pushed in before him. That sound startled Tum.
“AiGene?”
“You're here?”
The person who came was his friend in comfortable pajamas, one arm hugging a long pillow. On the other side was a mobile phone, charger, and MacBook.
“You…” Tum struggled to speak. “Why are you here?”
“Well, to sleep with Nubsib, of course.”
“Huh!?”
“Sib agreed that if you come to sleep in his room, he will take the job, right?”
“Uh, yeah.”
“So here's the thing, I know I have to be careful when entering and leaving the room, but I can't help.”
“Don't worry about the news, but what about you...
The person listening tilted their head slightly, raising their eyebrows. “Why me?”
“If I knew you would agree, I would have told you from the get go.”
“Well, if you had told me from the beginning, I would have come to sleep here, no need to make ghostly noises like this and that and fucking up my movie time.”
“Well... I thought you wouldn't agree so easily.”
Hearing that, Gene smiled faintly. “Well, once Sib finishes his homework, I'll go back to my own room, okay?”
“...”
Okay, staying close to that color really sticks to that color
But Tum won't say anything at all, it doesn't seem like he's going back...
“Okay, I'm going to watch a movie.” Gene said, turning his face towards Tum before walking softly to open the bedroom door and entering.
The person sitting on the couch just looked on, taking a short break before continuing to work. He suddenly got up and hurried to grab the door that was about to close with his body. Keeping it open, he glanced inside and saw his friend walking over to put something on the empty table lamp. On the other side was a tall figure sitting on the bed, reading quietly and then climbing up to tuck himself in a blanket.
Adjusting himself to lean against Nubsib, Gene opened the phone to continue watching the movie from there, while Nubsib himself drew his arm around the other person.
So easy.
Tum, who saw everything, could only mutter in his mind.
That bastard...
