Today, we're going to talk about your feelings and we're going to use some adjectives to express those feelings.
1️⃣ Heartbroken
Meaning: feeling very sad
You can be heartbroken about somebody (your boyfriend, girlfriend, etc), or you can be heartbroken about something.
Examples:
He's heartbroken because the love of his life has walked out on him.
He's heartbroken because he didn't get the place in university that he was hoping for.
2️⃣ Trapped
Meaning: you feel trapped when you're stuck in an unpleasant situation, and you feel that you cannot escape from it
Examples:
He's been trapped in a dead-end job for years.
Being single is better than feeling trapped in a toxic relationship.
3️⃣ Embarrassed
Meaning: you feel embarrassed when we do something we shouldn't have done, or we don't do something we should have done
Examples:
I felt a little bit embarrassed the next day after the party.
I was embarrassed when he confessed his love to me in public.
4️⃣ Disgusted
Meaning: when we are disgusted, it's because there's something we just don't really like; we don't like the taste of it; we don't like the sound of it; we don't like the sight of it
Examples:
I was disgusted by the sight of graffiti on the walls of a nice building.
I felt disgusted when I shook his hand.
