After listening and comping most of the vocals for EP #1 which is effectively known as 'Abandoned Works I' as of the moment... I've come to the conclusion that for the backing vocals, I'm not going to use Reaper. The main vocals will be rendered out and put into their proper mix in Ableton, and as I work the final mix, if there are backing vocals to be recorded, I'll fly them into Ableton itself. After all, with these, it's far less about performance than whether they fit. So there's no real comping that's needed. And, if there is no need for a backing vocal, I'm not going to add them just to fill up tracks.

Although, I was able to make a harmony vocal from a take that was really good in one section. If anything, it will serve as a 'model' if it needs more. But I'm quite fond of it.

These 'tonal' qualities I got will have to be copied over from the VSTs I'm using in the roughs, particularly the HP filters and EQ on the Neve emulator thing. It's so good with this mic. Almost a perfect match. I say perfect because I'd love to have this on the input/recording stage. This tone difference just makes it so the vocal could soar. So imagine if I had this going in? That preamp from Warm Audio is probably in my future...
