Sin buscarlo, ha habido veces que me he encontrado dando clase de Danza Oriental a mujeres de la tercera edad. Si no paciencia, solo se necesita estar en contexto, y entender sus circunstancias, qué es lo que la danza les regala. Ellas han disfrutado mucho la experiencia, encuentran un medio para dar movimiento a su cuerpo, y viven la experiencia de notar que es capaz de crear danza. Me parece que siempre hay una conexión especial con la música, saben disfrutarla y sentirla, traer con ella recuerdos y experiencia. Pienso que en resumen la clase les brinda un espacio de liberación y autonomía, y como nos sucede a muchos, volamos y olvidamos un poco la realidad.
He traído en la mente por mucho tiempo, la idea de abrir una clase exclusiva para mujeres de la tercera edad, tal vez algún día suceda.

Without looking for it, there have been times when I have found myself teaching Oriental Dance to senior women. If not patience, you just need to be in context, and understand their circumstances, what the dance gives them. They have really enjoyed the experience, they find a way to give movement to their body, and they live the experience of noticing that it is capable of creating dance. It seems to me that there is always a special connection with the music, they know how to enjoy it and feel it, bringing with it memories and experience. I think that in short the class gives them a space of liberation and autonomy, and as it happens to many of us, we fly and forget a little reality.
I have brought in my mind for a long time, the idea of opening an exclusive class for senior women, maybe someday it will happen.
