Help your students get ready to trace and move with the “In the Hall of the Mountain King/Hair Up” remix!
These free manipulatives feature patterns used in the scarf or tracing routine. Introduce them before playing the video so students can explore and practice the movements without music.
How to use them:
- Trace the patterns on the page with a finger.
- Practice tracing the same patterns in the air without music.
- Follow the video with a pointer finger as the lines change color.
- Add scarves and follow the routine again!
No scarves needed! Students can follow with their fingers or hands. When the video says to throw, have them throw their hands in the air.
Use these patterns to introduce the routine, review the movements, or invite students to create movement ideas of their own.
