There's nothing like citrus to brighten your mood, your taste buds and your home when the winter colds are lurking ππ€
This morning I finally dealt with the bowl of Meyer lemons and navel oranges I collected from our little trees last week. I also had a couple of Tahitian limes given to me on our recent holiday, so they went in too!
Into the jar went lots of peels (wash the fruit first), which I then covered with white vinegar. I'll let this sit for a fortnight before straining and bottling for a DIY cleaning spray (use 1:1 with water) and maybe even a hair rinse? π€ The Pyrex jug has 1 litre of mixed juice from all the fruit. I'll dissolve some sugar into that later for a quick DIY citrus cordial that we really love! (I always add some zest to my cordial - really ramps up the flavour/aroma).
Just a few little things to share with you today as I commiserate about having a cold. I've been working on the grain-flour-grams conversion chart all week, it's getting there!
