Stress related disorder and emotional trauma exist in all parts of the world. Due to the peculiarity of some individuals mental status, there are  people that further degenerate into unpleasant mental health conditions. Some other unpleasant mental health conditions can be caused by other factors. If the individual have the financial resources or have relatives or friends willing to help in the engagement of a certified orthodox mental health therapist such can be assisted through such  medium.

Some countries in the World like the Developed Countries in the American, European and Australasian Continents have government incentives that do provide for such care. However, these aspect of government support or incentives are not found in some countries in West Africa irrespective of their "false mass media propaganda".

Visiting the Neuron-psychiatric hospitals in a country like Nigeria according to the perception of some residents of the South-South region of the country, for medical assistance is always viewed with a stigmatization outlook. There some are yet to accept the fact that the psychiatric hospital is not for only mad persons. The word, "mad person" was originally used derogatorily. An unpleasant mental health condition does not mean madness in actuality, there are diverse degree of expression in many  persons who are unaware of them. Yet in some communities in West Africa, people who do not know what cases they have, unknown to them, stigmatize others whose own have taken a social dimension or expression.

However, there are Afro-Caribbeans and Africans, like myself, who are originally gifted with special knowledge of Alternative and Complementary Medicine. Transmitted as certified knowledge from Ancestral background, and also acquired through explorations into Nature Based Therapy. I have offered useful guides to people offline for years and have practically helpful insights conveyed through this post. What I am about to unveil for free, can be used alongside orthodox medical care. They do not contradict each other.

"Prevention is better than cure" is an age long maxim. As we take care of other parts of our body to maintain a healthy balance, the brain should be taken care of as well. To keep the brain in good condition is to first ensure that certain nutrition is fixed in the right proportion. Avoid foods that retain toxins in the body. It is scientifically proven that some human overtime have an unpleasant metabolic reaction that connects to the nervous system including the brain. Consistent use of excessive alcohol intake is not good for everyone and you cannot tell about yourself from self assumption. The smoking of hemp like "Cannabis sativa" [Marijuana], have the time it will trigger certain disharmony in the impulses of the brain cells over consistent use.

Do not over-strain yourself in any given vocation you have chosen for  socioeconomic survival, rather have a balance in your activities. Give  yourself some moment to have a good rest and sleep. Sleeping relaxes the brain after a stressful day. Keep your thoughts positive at all times  and free from anguish over anything you have experienced that you are not happy with. Stay away from occasion that always make you unhappy. Imagine yourself in your mind vision, having better moments than what makes you feel disappointed. When trying to stay relaxed and off from a stressful day activity, a melodious music do help greatly in fixing the mind and  harmonious vibrations of the brain cells. For me, I prefer listening to a  gentle rock music, soul music, rhythm and blues with positive wordings and relaxing instrumental beats as well as "instrumental classical music".

Special Medical Terms In This Post and their meaning;

Depression; Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of  sadness and loss of interest. Also called major depressive disorder or  clinical depression, it affects how you feel, think and behave and can  lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems. You may have  trouble doing normal day-to-day activities, and sometimes you may feel as if life isn't worth living. More than just a bout of the blues, depression isn't a weakness and  you can't simply "snap out" of it. Depression may require long-term  treatment. But don't get discouraged. Most people with depression feel  better with medication, psychotherapy or both.

Symptoms; Although depression may occur only once during your  life, people typically have multiple episodes. During these episodes, symptoms occur most of the day, nearly every day and may include:

Feelings of sadness, tearfulness, emptiness or hopelessness

Angry outbursts, irritability or frustration, even over small matters

Loss of interest or pleasure in most or all normal activities, such as sex, hobbies or sports

Sleep disturbances, including insomnia or sleeping too much

Tiredness and lack of energy, so even small tasks take extra effort

Reduced appetite and weight loss or increased cravings for food and weight gain

Anxiety, agitation or restlessness

Slowed thinking, speaking or body movements

Feelings of worthlessness or guilt, fixating on past failures or self-blame

Trouble thinking, concentrating, making decisions and remembering things

Frequent or recurrent thoughts of death, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts or suicide

Unexplained physical problems, such as back pain or headaches.

For many people with depression, symptoms usually are severe enough  to cause noticeable problems in day-to-day activities, such as work, school, social activities or relationships with others. Some people may  feel generally miserable or unhappy without really knowing why.

What is Psychosis? The word psychosis is used to describe conditions that affect the mind,  where there has been some loss of contact with reality. When someone becomes ill in this way it is called a psychotic episode. During a period of psychosis, a person’s thoughts and perceptions are disturbed, and the individual may have difficulty understanding what is real and what is not.  Symptoms of psychosis include delusions (false beliefs) and hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that others do not see or  hear). Other symptoms include incoherent or nonsense speech, and behavior that is inappropriate for the situation. A person in a psychotic episode may also experience depression, anxiety, sleep problems, social withdrawal, lack of motivation, and difficulty functioning overall.
