Its been a busy week and one thats been hampered with a breakdown. Yep our work horse the 110 Defender is “off the road” Not literally as its parked on the road but she's not starting… The weather over the last few weeks hasn’t helped in the repair nor diagnosis of the problem. But this Friday was forecasted to be a nice day so with Helen enrolled to help we decided to make a push on getting the old girl running. Knowing the vehicle had an electrical problem it was just about locating the issue. Checking the internet and using a volt meter we decided on the problem being with the starter motor! It turned out to be the starter motors solenoid.
With the first problem solved the next was to remove the offending item! With a lot of cursing we finally removed the old starter, tested it and replaced with a new one.. Problem fixed
