A New Life Waiting to Begin

A New Life Waiting to Begin

Jul 09, 2025

This morning, I woke up slow and quiet just the way I like it. The house was still, the world hadn’t quite started humming yet, and I had a warm cup of coffee in my hand. I sat for a minute, breathed deep, and opened up a book I’ve been slowly working through. Flipped it open and landed right on page 108.

And man… that page hit deep.

“It is painful to end your suffering. It is painful to process, to feel, to let go. It is painful to grieve, to be honest, to move on…”

Ain’t that the raw truth?

We’ve been taught for so long that strength means holding it all in. That we’re supposed to just tough it out, smile through it, and keep goin’ like nothing’s wrong. But what if the real strength is letting yourself feel it all?

I’m talkin’ about the kind of strength it takes to cry.

To tell the truth.

To say “I’m not okay” without feeling like you’re weak.

Truth is, most folks stay stuck in a place of “it’s not bad enough to change, but it sure ain’t good either.” That middle ground of quiet suffering. Why? Because moving forward means you’ve got to walk through the fire. You’ve got to face those fears, process that pain, and let go of the things that once held you together.

That hurts. No sugarcoating it.

But what that page reminded me and maybe it’ll remind you too is this:

Yes, it’s painful to end your suffering.

Yes, it’s scary to let go.

But there’s peace on the other side of it all.

Real peace.

Soul deep peace.

The kind that don’t come from avoiding the storm but from walking through it and realizing you’re still standing.

So maybe today is the day you give yourself permission to grieve.

To heal.

To let go of what’s been weighing you down.

Because there’s a new life waiting on you, my friend.

And it’s not up ahead someday… it starts right now.

If you’re walkin’ this road too, just know I see you. I’m with you. And we’re gonna make it through, one deep breath and front porch swing at a time.

Much love,

Ole Cody P
