My growing obsession of Lap Swimming

My growing obsession of Lap Swimming

Day 003.10.28.2022.1056H

What's up amazing people.

I hope everybody is having a fantastic day as I am. A little update about how I am currently doing:

I was having a little bit of ups and downs since I am hugely hormonal lately. Good thing though is my mental being is manageable, thanks to my current obsession: Lap Swimming. After a quick search, Lap Swimming is defined as a type of swimming technique where you swim from one end to another and complete a lap. At first, I was not able to reach the end of the pool as I am simply too exhausted, only reaching 1/4th of the entire length. It took me a couple of days (approx. 4 days!) to continuously swim to be able reach the end. I am yet to do a full lap and I am striving to do so!

I was not a really a good swimmer. I used to believe that I look very awkward in the water. Why do people look so graceful and just overall pleasing when they swim while here I am looking like a drowning frog. Lol.

As I have previously pointed out, exercise is always a good thing to improve your overall mental well-being. For now I am completely obsessed with improving my swimming skills. I set my 6 pm - 8 pm for my exercise everyday. I bought a cheap goggles online so I can see underwater. I slowly am learning how to dive by trying to retrieve randomly thrown rocks and generally cleaning the pool by removing the leaves underwater. (productive!)

One thing I noticed after my continuous swimming, my pulse rate is getting good. I was not easily exhausted after a couple of flights of stairs. My breathing has also improved. Though my skin are very dry due to the pool chlorine but nothing can't be fixed by our good ol' moisturizer. I'd say we're getting better.

A little btw, it's my birthday tomorrow. We're gonna be going to a water spa hotel (excited!) and there, my swimming practice will be put to test. Hope all works well!

xx
