Body of Christ - Enough Is Enough!
Stop Competing With the People Christ Commanded You to Love
BODY OF CHRIST - ENOUGH!
How many times does God have to tell His children the same thing!?
Stop the jealousy. Stop the competition. Stop the comparison. Stop the strife. Stop tearing down another believer because God is using them differently than He is using you!
We are not competitors, we are members of the same Body!
Paul rebuked this behavior plainly in 1 Corinthians 3:3 (AMPC) “For you are still [unspiritual, having the nature] of the flesh [under the control of ordinary impulses]. For as long as [there are] envying and jealousy and wrangling and factions among you, are you not unspiritual and of the flesh, behaving yourselves after a human standard and like mere (unchanged) men?”
Beloved, how long are we going to keep calling ourselves spiritually mature while behaving carnally toward one another?
Your brother’s blessing does not diminish yours. Your sister’s calling does not threaten yours. Someone else’s platform, ministry, gift, opportunity, recognition, or success is not evidence that God forgot about you!
Jesus did not say the world would recognize His disciples by our titles, followers, denominations, platforms, conferences, buildings, or popularity.
He said in John 13:34-35 (AMPC) “I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves].”
SO BELOVED, ENOUGH OF THIS!
We cannot keep preaching Christ publicly while competing with His Body privately.
We cannot shout about revival while secretly resenting whom God is using.
We cannot preach unity while feeding jealousy, comparison, cliques, rivalry, and division.
Grow up, Body of Christ!
Celebrate one another, pray for one another, encourage one another, correct one another in love, and support one another.
We have one Lord, one Kingdom, and one mission.
Question For Today
If Jesus said the world would know that we belong to Him by how we love one another, what is the way you treat other believers telling the world about who you belong to?
