After releasing ‘Battlegrounds' last month, I’ve now found a set of 10 ‘Patron’ cards which are now available to download.
‘Patron’ cards are a way of making visits to Habitations and gaining Quests there more unique. They work well with my Habitation cards but are a separate mechanic and you can play with one and not the other, or both as you wish.
A Patron is a person of importance in the Habitation, usually the Town Mayor or Village Elder, and they make the Seeking an Audience Action and the associated events (e156, e177) more thematic and unique to each Habitation.
If you gain a Patron, a Habitation becomes a 'Haven' and that means free food and lodging and some free healing too. Additionally, if a Patron sends you off on a Quest, you might get some added reward or help in completing the Quest.
I've chosen 10 different Patrons for this set from the north of the map, but including some non-human Habitations too if you find them. Each Patron card is also brought to life with some lovely art and the pack comes complete with rules and card backs..
‘Patrons’ is the third mini-expansion I’ve released for Barbarian Prince. Expect another next month!
