FOUNDATION SCRIPTURE:

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
HOLY SPIRIT, HAVE YOUR WAY.
TOPIC: LOVE LIKE JESUS CHRIST.
LOVE is the heartbeat of our faith, the divine mark of a transformed soul. JESUS CHRIST did not merely SUGGEST LOVE, He COMMANDED it. Not the shallow, selfish, demanding love of the world, but the unwavering, sacrificial love He demonstrated.
He loved without condition, without hesitation. He loved the ones who betrayed Him, the ones who denied Him, the ones who crucified Him. And He calls us to do the same. This kind of love is not based on feelings but on choice, an intentional decision to reflect His grace in our daily lives.
Imagine a world where love overpowers bitterness, where mercy silences judgment, where compassion dismantles division. That world begins with us.
"As I have loved you": this is the difference. Christ's love is sacrificial, intentional, and transformative. It seeks not its own interests but pours itself out for others. When Jesus Christ spoke these words, He stood in the shadow of the cross, knowing full well what His love would cost Him.
In our world of conditional affection and transactional relationships, Christ's command remains radical. To love as He loved means to love without expectation of return, to love the difficult person, to love when it's inconvenient.
The Apostle Paul understood this when he wrote, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud" (1 Corinthians 13:4). Each characteristic describes love in action, not merely in feeling.
When we follow this command, we don't merely improve our relationships, we participate in God's Divine Nature. As John reminds us, "God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them" (1 John 4:16).
Today, let this command reorient your intentions and interactions. With every person you encounter, ask yourself: Am I loving as Christ loved me? Not perfectly, but purposefully. Not flawlessly, but faithfully.
This is how the world will know we are His disciples, not by our eloquence, not by our achievements, but by our love for one another.
Let’s commit to love like Jesus Christ, not only when it’s easy, but when it costs us something. Not only when we are loved in return, but when we are met with indifference. Because in this love, we reveal the heart of God.

2) Heavenly Father, teach me to love like my Christ. Help me to see others through Your eyes and respond with grace, mercy, and compassion, in Jesus Christ's Name
3) Almighty God, in this world that demands ungodly favour for different help they give, prevent me. Strip me of selfishness and pride, and fill my heart with a love that reflects Yours. In Jesus Christ's Mighty Name, amen.
